I have read 'Life is what You Make it' and 'The Secret Wishlist' by Preeti Shenoy as well and I am a fan ever since. But I may not find enough words to tell you how beautifully she has written 'The One You Cannot Have'.
The One You Cannot Have is a modern day romance fiction which ironically stays too close with reality. Especially in India, such things happen too often and thus you can easily relate with the characters. Preeti Shenoy has dealt with the relationships in a brilliant manner and every emotion touches you deeply. You won't recognize but you will start gasping, feeling, pitying, smiling and may be even crying for the characters.
Throughout the book I never for a single line felt bored. The One You Cannot Have was thoroughly gripping and kept flooding the emotions. Reading a few things you will find yourself asking yourself why does such things happen.
