Heir of Fire is the third book in the Throne of Glass series. Now, I absolutely loved the first two books and I was extremely excited to read the third book. Infact, I bought this book as a birthday gift for myself and I was curious to know what's going to happen after the major reveal in the previous book. (No spoilers)
🌲
However, I didn't enjoy reading this book as much as I did with the first two books. I did become hooked to it towards the end but I was just kind of bored otherwise.
🌲
I won't be giving out any spoilers. So, this book is filled with magic, murders and witches. We are also introduced to so many new characters and we get to know about them throughout the course of the book. We also get to know a bit more about Celaena's past, while she struggles to find out answers to fight the evil.
🌲
I feel this is a filler book which prepares the readers for everything which will come up in the next books. I really loved the theme of friendship in this series-be it the bond which Celaena and Nehemia share, or the friendship between Dorian and Chaol.
🌲
Although I didn't love this book as much as I expected to, I really like the way the story is taking shape. The ending was absolutely heartbreaking.
