About Pay on Delivery

'Pay on Delivery' (POD) includes Cash on Delivery (COD) as well as additional digital payment facilities at your doorstep. You can pay for 'Pay on Delivery' orders by cash at all locations and by Debit card / Credit card / Net banking in select locations.

Pay on Delivery is available as a payment method for all items that are Fulfilled by Amazon, Prime Eligible and some seller fulfilled items.

Pay on Delivery orders can be paid using Cash or Credit card/Debit card/Net banking. Please check with the delivery associate if you can pay by using Amazon Pay link and card swipe machine/mPOS (subject to availability of payment instrument at your location). We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Rupay debit and credit cards from all banks.

How to pay using card swipe machine/mPOS:

1. Ask your delivery agent for a card swipe machine/mPOS
2. Swipe/insert your card
3. Enter your card ATM PIN number to complete the payment
4. Post successful payment, you will get a confirmation message.

How to pay using Amazon Pay link:

1. Ask your delivery agent for Pay link SMS on your smartphone which has internet connectivity
2. Click on the link in SMS and initiate payment
3. Select your payment method and complete payment using your credentials
4. Post successful payment, you will get a confirmation message.

Pay on Delivery cannot be used in conjunction with the Amazon Pay balance as a payment mode. If you deselect Amazon Pay balance as a payment mode on the Amazon.in payment page, Pay on Delivery may become available as a payment mode, provided the item and delivery pin code are eligible.

We only collect the amount printed on the invoice.

Note:

• 'Pay on Delivery' is not yet available for all pin codes. This is due to limitations of courier services we use. Click here to see the list of states where this facility is not available.
• 'Pay on Delivery' will not be available if your order value exceeds Rs. 30,000.
• 'Pay on Delivery' will only be available for some items under Lightning Deals.
• 'Pay on Delivery' is currently not available for Fine Art category.
• Pay on Delivery will not be available for orders which include items sold by Global Store.
• For precious jewellery, all orders placed using Pay on Delivery as payment method will be verified through a call before shipment.
• If you're using Pay on Delivery as a payment method and your mobile number is not verified on Amazon, you will be asked to enter a One-Time password in order to complete your order. This One- Time password will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• Prime customers will be ineligible for No-rush shipping cashback if they choose to pay for the order using ‘Pay on Delivery’. For more information, go to About No-Rush Shipping Program.
