Product description

Review

The book engrossed me so much that i instantly wanted to become a small part of Saba's wonderful world. I loved each and everything about the book. The characterisation, the simple yet funny humour, the description of the wedding! But its simplicity is what impressed me the most. A simple story with the right number of ups and downs at the right places. This books is a huge stress buster. Above all this book makes me feel proud to be a muslim from 'Namma Bengaluru'. I just loved the character Shahid. He is every girl's dream man. And yes i would love a sequel too! I think all of us should be reading this book because at the end i am sure we would be closing it with a bright smile on our face. Kudos to you ma'am. I hope you keep making us smile with your simple yet beautiful books. --Ayesha Sheik May 9, 2013

First things first! WHERE IS RAFIQ?????? Rabia is one hell of a lucky gal........ And so is Saba! What a passionate bf Shahid is!!!! So perfect, yet so believable!!!! All the characters seem like you know all of them personally! The interfering aunts, the funny and understanding BFF ......the caring and concerned parents.....OMG they are all like , so next door! Once you start reading you are just so deeply involved in the lives of all of them that you can't wait to know what is going to happen next! This is one book you would find extremely difficult to put down! Also, the blog running along side the main story gives you juicy insights into the broader outline! Sort of like showing you both sides of the coin! ! Great idea Andaleeb Wajid. There are sudden surprises hidden in every nook and corner! Which makes the book all the more enjoyable! In short, ' My brothers wedding' is to Muslim weddings, what HAHK is to Hindu weddings! --Aabha Khemka May 21, 2013

This book really shows how a family deals with a marriage in the family. The propagandist with her blog entries really made the book better. I was laughing and crying along with her. A must read for anybody who wants to learn about how a wedding happens in a Muslim household. --Suhasini Sinha Mar 25, 2014 --This text refers to the paperback edition.
