I really enjoyed downshift story,it was funny , creative and definitely had a great message. I really liked all the characters and how they adapted to all situations. I have it four stars just because I felt it was a little rushed and I think the author could have given us a little more detail about each event.Overall I love the authors style of book and would definitely recommend this book to anyone within the age group of 8-13. Great book.
Very funny story! Would recommended to 8-12 year olds. About a boy called Alfie who always has to stick to his routines. One day his babysitter can't come so Alfie is stuck with his ex mum's babysitter who can barely hear! I loved every page of it and read it 30 mins as it was so good!! No body would ever expect what happens ...
Very popular with my boys at bedtime... and I enjoyed it too. Filled with contemporary references which really hooks my usually disinterested boys. Easy to read and short chapters so perfect for reading together and independently. Will be getting another.
I chose this rating because I thought the book had very creative and descriptive language. Some parts of the book were really funny and I especially laughed when Alfie ordered 'candy floss rocket and chips.'. I enjoyed this book a lot because it was funny, clever and creative. There wasn't any part I disliked as, it was a very imaginative book and I couldn't stop reading it.
when i was about to buy it i looked at the price 75p!!?? and i bought it as usual not lookinng at the reviews then i read it only 128 pages?????!!!!! iread it in half an hour thinking to myselfc that went quick plus it wasn't very appetising farts under the bed then the granny almost dies and thats why it wasn't very appetising and disgusting
