To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this copy because, I had given my copy away and I love this book, as well because I am a communication designer and adore this cover, but this is not the cover I was delivered. I was pretty disappointed. The contents and the quality are great
I've heard of "condensed editions," but this is ridiculous. The book is not much bigger than a deck of standard sized playing cards. I need a magnifying glass to read it. Didion is not the one to blame here, but I'd expect a bigger book for what I paid.
If you are a Joan Didion fan, of which I thought I was, and are still focused on the 60s...this is a worthwhile read. After a while, I just wanted to move on...from both the time period and her pointed view of life and the people around her.
