The author has touched various strings of my heart as I read the book, I laughed, I smiled, I cried and I was in absolute awe when there was something unexpected and romantic. Author has different stories for each of the Bridgerton children but this one touched my heart. The girl who thought she cannot love again found love who was just in front of her all the time!!
Julia Quinn is brilliant. She breaks the received romance molds and reshapes stories that are absolutely unforgettable. Michael Stirling is one of my favourite heroes of ALL TIMES. He's Mr. Darcy without pride and prejudice. He's just too delicious. He's everything a hero should be. I LOVE him! Which is why Francesca is secondary for me and I accept her as a Bridgerton because JQ says so. This is one of my top 3 favourite Bridgerton books (the irony). It's unusual also because the book opens with Michael's pov and often reverts to it. Francesca's pov is quantitatively less than Michael's I think, but I wouldn't have it any other way. And that scene in the library...so HOT! Must-read.
Wonderful book , Julia Quinn always produces amazing books , with wonderful story lines . I have bought ( and read ) all of her books in the Bridgerton series and can’t wait for the series on tv . Highly recommend reading or buying for presents .
I have tried this series several times and given up- previously I just didn't get it. Then I decided to start in the middle with this. A good trope, loving your best friends wife handled very well.Throw in an issue close to my own heart, infertility, very well handled and you have a winner. Beautiful romance,Michael is amazing and Frannie I could perhaps have strangled, but overall inspire of her it was great! And I read the second epilogue today and wept.
Julia Quinn is a genius! I have loved every bridgerton book so far but this one, this one is by far the best. A beautiful, thrilling, heart breaking story that ends with so much joy and happiness it's hard not to smile as you read the final page. Utterly breathtakingly beautiful to read. <3
Having read a few Bridgeton back to back this is actually a return to form after Colin and Eloise's books being disappointing. I thought she dealt with grief really well and the relationship when it gets going is hot. Thankfully the sex scenes actually are different as well! A real fun page turner.
This has been my favourite Bridgerton book so far but have absolutely loved them all. This book brings you to tears. I’ve not experienced loss the way it was betrayed but still made me cry which Is a very rare thing for me.
