To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Wow, what an unbelievable disappointment. Verbal sparring is great, but even that can be taken to an extreme. It was like a cover up - to make it _seem_ like the story was progressing, when actually, NOTHING was happening. No character development, no building of sexual tension. These last three books, Because of Miss Btridgerton, The Girl with the Make Believe Husband and this one - indicate that Julia Quinn is losing her touch, BIG TIME. And that's really, really sad, because I've read every single book she's written. I read my first Julia Quinn the summer of 1998, after the birth of my second daughter. I won't bother reading whatever drivel she produces next.
I enjoyed reading the Bridgerton series, but am disappointed with the Rokesby series. I read books 1-3 and my review is pretty much the same on each book. I felt like I would prefer paying bills more than reading this series.
