To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought it as was told it is a classic for children and grown ups alike. However.. It is odd. It is making me do silly angry gestures while reading which are not a great example for a toddler (and it is not like it is the bad character in the book doing them, so it is not clear for extra young minds). Finally I like the simplicity of the drawings, but for a book that names grey brown blue and red as the hats colours every other page, it is a shame they don't look the part. My 2,5 year old keeps correcting me that they are grey Orange green and red. And she is right.
This story is from my childhood (I am now 60) and I loved it. I read this to my 3 daughters as they were growing up and they loved it. They are grown now but remember it well. I decided to replace it in the hope that my grandchildren to be will love it too.
