Sarah Dessen rarely disappoints readers through her books and Just Listen is one of the best novels that she has ever written.
I read this book a long time ago, but I am writing the review now because I never usually review the books I read. I will not include spoilers, so this is safe.
The book revolves around a the youngest of three sisters, Annabel, who is forced to continue her job as a model because of the sole reason that it comforts her mother. Both her elder sisters were also models, but the oldest one, Kirsten, decides to give up the profession and takes up movie-making instead. Whereas, Whitney, although interested in her job as a model, had to give it up when she was diagnosed with an eating disorder.
When it becomes the worst it can possibly get for Annabel, and she doesn't seem to be able to forget the memories of one dark night, she meets Owen. Owen loves music. He is the kind who constantly reminds himself not to punch the person sitting right next to him. Annabel seems to tame him and his heart as well. But she doesn't want to confide in him.
Now it is up to you to read the book and discover what actually happens and I assure you that it's a book worth reading.
