To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
My main takeaways from the book were: 1. Active recall and doing well in tests 2. Beating procrastination 3. Interleaving topics to understand better 4. Creating strong Brain-Links for better learning 5. Memorization Techniques 6. Using your weakness as a strength if you are a slow learner 7. Most importantly, Diffuse and Focused mode of thinking and a lot more. The book fulfilled my expectations. I wish I had found this when I was in school or college. But better late than never.
Scientific content with good logic explained. Though I could not relate to examples much but the concepts are completely true. I am experimenting on these and find them very useful. The book is much better than the coursera course by the same name.
