Superb dictionary for young learners. Recommended for age 8+ however my 7 year old has been using this daily and his vocabulary is improving already. Not just useful for learning new words it helps him check the spellings to words he's not sure of which is great as reading it makes for better process remembering rather than being explained. Well worth it.
I was recommended this by the girls' tutor but it's not detailed enough in its content or explanations and, although I appreciate it's not meant to be a thesaurus as well, it doesn't offer alternatives to the words (useful when working on Verbal Reasoning). Useful grammar section in the middle. For Years 3 and 4.
I bought two of these, one for each child and they both love them. They are very well presented, easy to find and are very colourfull. I'd say they are a must for kids and will really help with homework and spelling.
I bought this for my 6year old grandaughter and she loved it. She has a very curious nature and this book was very easy for her to follow and find the words she was looking for. Words are explained well for a 6 year old child. It has been very useful for her schoolwork. Would buy again from this site.
Great for my 6 year old who is obsessed with reading. She is gradually learning to use it when reading but also likes to just look through it. Only thing that confuses her is the noun, verb, adjective etc straight after the word but she will get there.
Great for helping with all those annoying questions the kids ask you on the spot and you cant find the words to explain....just tell them to check the dictionary hahaha. The grammar and homework help sections are really good too. Perfect for 8year olds
I bought this for my grandson aged 6 just learning to read and spell. It's a lovely book but I didn't realise that he uses Siri or Alexa for spelling. 😂😂 That showed me! I'm sad we are losing our books to electronic devices.
