To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This was a very nice book except that it refers to heaven without the description alerting the buyer to that. Not everyone or every religion believes in heaven, and it would be helpful if the listing were to mention this religious aspect.
Thought it would be a good idea for my 6 year old because she's quite dependant on me and "needs me" a lot. But she wasn't too interested or didn't understand the point in the invisible string, not too sure! I even bought the work book to go with it, but she was just annoyed it was all to do with the string!
I hadn't picked up from the reviews and description that the book features a one parent family (the mother and a boy and girl). Wish I had known that - perhaps I missed it. But the book is beautifully written and illustrated.
This book has had such amazing reviews, I was honestly expecting there to be a bit more to the story! Although it’s a good message, I had thought there’d be more to it. We still read it and used it for our teaching tool, for family leaving the country and moving away. It’s helped the kids even tho it’s a tad simple. It did prompt a lot of Q & A after reading it so it was still very useful as it got the conversation started and the dialogue going. Would recommend maybe for smaller kids ages 2-5.
Appreciate the messsge. Generic and therefore applicable to many and all scenarios. The illustrations are really quite simple (and perhaps a little dull for the price of the book). However great, simple to understand messsge for children to know that love connects,
