To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I got this for sale here for Rs 424. The publisher is Faber & Faber. So the text is perfect. But there is no annotations, index, etc. Just plain vanilla text. I got the delivery before time. The front cover had a small but deep triangle fold in 1 corner and the edges of the pages were black. After taking care of that it felt nice holding the book.
Beckett dropped here from mercury. They cod on he's from Foxrock! He sucked up more than his share, leaving no juice for me. I blame him for my failures. I blame him for the extra hole I have to put in my belt leather. I haven't done a solid discharge in three years, even my excreta can't wait to be shot of me. Why did you have to be so whet Samuel? Why so precise? You could have left a small bit for me. Just a morsel. xx
I have nothing bad to say about the contents of Beckett's work but the book itself is falling apart after minimal use. Pages are coming loose in some sections and others have fallen out completely, I'm worried that I'll lose some of the text.
I got this second hand, but overall it was a great book and a good read. Unfortunately, although I knew the book was second hand, but I didn't expect the book to have been written in with ink so I knocked off 1 star for that as well as a long delivery time. However the book itself is amazing. Would be nice to have an introduction, but overall- great read!
A thorough collection which could only have been enhanced by an introduction, maybe even to each play, I feel that context helps a lot in understanding these works, despite the calculated ambiguity in some of the settings.
