To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
From previous reviews I read, I thought this book would be comprehensive but simple. Instead of being a book with a fair amount of illustrations (which is what I was looking for), it was too much reading. I do ok if I have an image to look at, but not good with image from thought; so without an image to look at, I’m kind of lost. If this sounds like you, I wouldn’t buy this book.
This book is filled with informative tips and styles of drawing items and textures. It covers a broad spectrum of things. I like how it shows the tutorials on the right side of the pages, but I do not care for the know-understand-do on the left side of the pages. I feel this space could have covered a lot more drawing tutorials and the only thing really useful on these pages is the vocabulary at the bottom of the pages - which could have been compiled at the end of the book.
