Of the three turkey trouble books we have; Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, this is probably my least favorite. It follows the same theme as Thanksgiving where turkey is trying to avoid becoming Christmas dinner. Let’s cut to the chase and the ending is also very similar to The Thanksgiving story. Since turkey is the iconic Thanksgiving food, the food theme works best for theThanksgiving book. The Halloween story is super cute and thematic to Halloween, aka trying to get candy! So even though turkey dresses in Christmas costumes, I wish the overall story wasn’t about him being food again. But you know, my daughter loves the turkey books and overall it still a fun read so we had to have them all.
Gobbles is in trouble again. He was safe for a while, but now its all most Christmas. His life In danger again. The he came up with a brilliant idea. Read this wonderful Christmas story, to find out Gobbles idea. Read it to the whole family all will enjoy it, from the kids to the adults. Debra H.
My grandsons love the book "Turkey Trouble" by the same author and illustrator so I knew they would love this book too. We weren't disappointed. I would have given it 5 stars but the font size can't be changed and since the screen shows 2 pages at once the print is very, very small. Almost too small for them to read and I have a difficult time with it. I actually got out a magnifying glass. I wish they would change this as we love the stories
The second book doesn't disappoint. It follows the same structure as its previous book. This one has the Christmas cheer and turkey's cleverness. I like the creative play on different Christmas words. The book is delightful.
