To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this to help our 2 year old vocalise her feelings when her Dad was away on long work trips. She really enjoyed the story and especially liked seeing the little animal (hamster/guinea pig?) reunited with their parents in different situations. It helps us talk about missing Daddy and what we can do when we see him again.
My 2 and a half your old seems to really like this book (as well as the others from this series that I got her). It's a nice simple way to explain feelings and how to deal with them. And the style is really appealing to kids. I highly recommend them.
Started with one book and bought almost this WHOLE series so far! Beautiful artwork. Gentle comforting messages that empower. Keep 'em coming Cornelia Maude Spelman and Kathy Parkinson, please! You are a wonderful partnership!
I got several books in this series for my 3 year old son to work through having 2 houses and missing mommy or daddy when he is not with us. He can't talk about his feelings much at this age, but it is so good for him to learn about the feelings, how they are normal, and okay, and good, and that there are things he can do when he feels them. I learn a lot from these books on how to help him and what to say to him too. He picks these books off of the shelf himself during reading time before bed too which is surprising to me, so I know they are speaking to him.
