To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
An American-biased Time-Life book, with half of the content in picture form, it largely catered to the American public, for most of the European content was of US servicemen experiences. It contained 13 chapters; 2 on the Far East, 3 on the East front in Europe, 3 on the German experience in US-based camps, 3 on Europe and 2 on both Europe and Far East experiences.
There were some decent photos, which merited the score, but the narrative was largely a cut and paste job from the many personal accounts of returning POW's.
