This is like a cake baking bible for novice bakers! Complete with tips on everything relevant to baking a cake - from the ingredients and methods to full details on on all the tools you need, including what to use and where to find it. The little intros to each cake were a lot of fun, too. All of the recipes I've tried so far have been excellent. Looking forward to the sequel :)
Have made 2 of the recipes so far. Cakes turn out well, instructions are easy to follow. The reason for 3 stars is the flavours are rather bland ( for me, if i am going to have the calories there should be a lot of flavour ) and the book is very small, not easy to work with ( the size of a childs board book )
I bought my bundt tin last year and went in search of recipes, only to be disappointed as most of the bundt recipe books call for packet mix. This book is all cooking from scratch. It is only a little book but the recipes are clear and easy to follow. American conversions are easy to find on the internet, so american weights, oven temperatures are really not a problem. So far i have made the blueberry cake and the banana cake which were both delicious and went down very well with the family. The strawberry cake is in the oven as i write this review
