Red herring technique used to fool readers
Reviewed in India 🇮🇳 on 25 December 2022
I read a lot about the book on internet. Mostly were the positive reviews. I thought of giving it a chance considering the writer has done scriptwriting as well.
In terms of writing, the book did not disappoint. It follows a pace and you don't feel like putting it down. And that's it...
The writing style (and the suspense) is inspired from 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' by Agastha Christie.
However, in the Agastha's book, it was so captivating that you won't be able to guess that you are missing one person from the suspects list.
Here, it is captivating but using the Red Herring technique makes it feel like cheating with your readers.
I don't know, all I can say is if you are thinking about reading this book, you should rather go for 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd '.
