Humans accidentally captures Dream in an attempt to catch Death. They take away his possessions, what follows is consequences, how he escaped, take back his possessions. My complaint is the title is irrelevant, the title has almsot nothing to do with the book. I'm still unsure who's the Sandman, is it metaphor for mortals? Or is it Dream himself?
Spoilers: Part of it is about setting the world and rest is an episode of 'How to Find my Lost toys'. Overall I felt they had a good idea but miserably failed to make best out of it. The most enjoyable thing I find is artwork and Death, Doctor Dee parts. Apart from this is let big down for me.
This book is just magickal. I don't know how to say this, how to express the dept of the characters but this book really gets you. You will sunk deep into the endless adventure of Sandman. For some magickal reasons, I can read this book again and again!
A masterpiece and ofcourse a definite read for people who love horror and fantasy.
This is the stuff dreams are made of!!! Neil Hainan has taken an almost forgotten DC character and churned out a dreamscape mystical and diabolical as well as philosophical! Just wish I could have some Batman thrown in the mix here!
