To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
A book I probably shouldn’t be reading to my second grader :-). This book is silly and fun. Plenty of humor for the child who is just starting to “get” subtle jokes. It contains a good story that requires one to understand motivation and planning.
I had to read this as part of being a battle of the books coach. So funny I was laughing out loud during class while subbing. I recommended the book to all the 5th graders! I liked the creative way the boys thought up tricks, and it was just realistic enough to think it could actually happen. Easy to read for all levels. This one is staying in our library.
Read this with my grandchildren. We pick a book suitable for the age range 7-10. The two 10 years enjoyed the book very much. The 8 and 7 year old thought it was funny. I also liked the book very much. We intend to read the rest of the series as our book club moves forward. Great fun.
Sunshine State book. We are getting a head start for next school year and the third grade boy I am reading with is enjoying the plot and characters so far. The chapters are short do he is feeling accomplished as he moves along to chapter five early in the book. He has remained engaged, but occasionally becomes discouraged by the amount of text on each page.
Got this for our 8 year old grandson, who has already read Harry Potter and is into the Hobbit series. This provided a bit of a nice break for him since what he normally reads is a bit tense for someone his age, and he enjoyed it.
