My rate and review is for the book plot and writting. The product was in excellent condition.

The book isn't too thick, the print size is medium.and papers are thick enough.

Now this book has 43 chapters, and you have to read till 20th chapter to actually get the story rolling. And get me hooked to it. It's fast paced, which I love. And is also pretty action packed. But the way the plot moved and the way it ended wasn't too flattering. I had a huge potential, which it failed.
The book has POV changes as chapters, so that can be confusing.
Also, the author didn't make it clear why Elian was so protected. And why Kye held him at such and high respect. And why they actually thought world revoled around them.
Though, as it's being told and acted out at Lira. It makes sense. But if in her place it was anyone else (if they act like that around anyone who stubbles upon them) I would say they are pretty mean people to be acting like that.

The story is a lot better when told from Lira's side. As she is doing through major developments and questionings. And also her side of romance is a lot well shown. While Elian really has an one track mind (in a weird way) and it is bit of a j@cka$$. His side of romance is a lot like suddenly imposed. And had to be done for the sake of plot.

The writing style got a lot better towards the middle of the book. But in the book, the descriptions were very unnecessary. And forced upon. The author was telling us the details rather than showing them. It was feeling really a lot like Roleplay writings. But it got better eventually.

Then again I would say, that I am in my 20s. And this book is strongly towards the teens. So I should not be dissecting it this hard.
But if you are an adult. Don't buy this for yourself. You won't (probably) like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a Fairytale but BETTER!

The ending is just so beautiful the best I could have ever imagined. I want to know so much more about Elian and Lira. The world building is amazing and magical. The fight scenes are just so well written that they will keep you immersed as though you can picture them. The climax was just so nerving that I could not read further afraid of what might happen (which is a nice feeling to have🤭LOL). It felt so deadly and beautifully magical at the same time. Although I did feel like there wasn't much romance until the climax. I still wish just one more chapter about Elian and Lira after the final one would make me suffice because I wanted more of them even after the main plot was over.

A story so beautiful and enchanting that I couldn't stop reading it. This book definitely showed why an enemies to lovers fantasy is always on top.

Elian and Lira. YOU BOTH 😩🤌❤️ I have no words, I love them so much!! Their banter and snarky remarks were THE BEST!! Both so powerfully opposite killer beings and yet so much alike with so much faith and love.
They knew their worth and we're never afraid to take it. The crew and side characters were amazing and this story truly felt something out of a fairytale.

The Sea Queen - uggghhh I hate her so so much! I wish I could just strangle her.

The writing was so enchanting and luring, the high paced plot urging me to keep on reading. The best part about fantasy romance is that the characters never directly say " I LOVE YOU" but rather they show it in a thousand different ways. The small gestures, the glances everything is just so sweet in the darkened world of the book.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! This book will take you on an adventurous journey filled with love, family, deceit, friendship and above power of kindness.

My experience

(SPOILER ALERT)
A great read that engages the reader from the beginning with the shameless diabolicalness(I googled to make sure it was a word, istg diabolical sounds so much better and fitting) of Lira amd yet it doesn't take away from the emotional depth the character has. Elian being a wanderlust prince with an amazing wit will really pull you into the book as well. The banter between Elian and Lira is just pure treasure for lack of a better word that befits the pirate. I envy their wit which is one of the key reasons behind this book being as good as it is.

The sole reason of Lira turning into a human being her mother's whim and lack of affection towards her daughter and not an actually valid reason is a bit confusing to me because I don't know whether I like that the villain is evil for the sake of being evil without a backstory or not.(leaning towards the former)

At a few points I felt like the book needed to be edited better; a few words amiss here and there but maybe it's I that is wrong.
