It's a strictly okay book. Matthew Perry's writing style is as quirky funny as his on-screen persona. That's what really saves the book from otherwise being a huge bore.

Requires Guys to reveal yourself. He does it so well . And in many instances you can hear him speak literally. Everyday I looked forward to read the book after my tiring work .

This is an amazing read, seeing the pain behind one of the most funny man on tv was hard. The book engages you from the very start and Matthew Perry once again hooks the audience with his story telling , and ever so subtly you can see glimpses of 'Chandler Bing' in the funny story telling.

5.0 out of 5 stars The funniest people are often the loneliest

I’ve never connected more with a Sitcom character than Chandler Bing (and I’m sure we all did), but it made even better when I realized that it was Mathew being himself. This honest book… the truth about all of it… about the funniest man on TV pains me to see him go through so much in life. Especially the part where he frequently talks about the hole in his heart. I hope someday that hole is filled up and Matthew gets to be as happy as Chandler is.

I have always loved Chandler. I knew Matt Perry was an addict... His bloatedness during seasons 6-7 was definitely telling. But I had no idea about the horrors he'd experienced, and the terrible struggle he's had with addiction. Brilliantly written, smart, funny, sad... Basically, very Chandler!!!

I loved the candid confessions in the book. It takes courage to be so open about your personal struggles. I have been a fan of FRIENDS for as long as I can remember and Chandler has been my favorite character though I love them all. His sarcasm and wit was what hooked me to the show initially. Never did I imagine that the person playing such a character was struggling with so many issues. This book gives hope in so many ways. It's not only about substance abuse and its effects, we are all addicted to something or the other and it makes you feel positive about making that transition towards betterment. It teaches you that without gratitude you cannot live a full life.
