This Chicago-based scavenger hunt book is relative and inventive. It takes 3 quirky, unlikely middle school students, given 3 clues each, to unearth a $10,000 grand prize. I am a middle school English teacher and loved this book immediately. I have placed it on my reading list for the upcoming school year and I can't wait to embed the idea of a scavenger hunt and mystery into the curriculum. It also discusses point of view as the chapters rotate between the three characters' POV. What a great way to get kids excited about reading! Thank you, Ms. Ecton!
Great story! However, it was hard for my 8/9 year old to read alone. I’m happy he needed help since it had some parts I wasn’t happy about. The language was rough in certain spots. I would recommend for middle school or older due to some of the language content.
