To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This review is by my son Ravi who is 6 years old: it was really good book. I liked that in the end she made lots and lots of friends even though at the start of the book she was not making any friends. So if I see someone who looks lonely and does not have friends, I will ask them "whats wrong?" And if he or she says that they are lonely and does not have friends, i will ask them to play with me. And if they say yes, I will play with them.
Absolutely love this story! The story sounds so much like my autistic daughter. Hoping that it will help her understand that she just needs to be herself. Honestly the sweetest book I've ever read. 100% recommend it. Tom Percival is becoming a firm favourite here!
Both my children and I loved this book. I adore the illustrations and the story is so relatable. It is an uplifting and helpful story. Perfect for anyone who wants to explore being themselves and learning how to make friends.
Firstly I want to say how well Amazon handled my complaint, when I purchased this book that was New and it arrived to me, looking used! They sent me a new copy straight away! So five star for service too!
This book is beautiful, I highly recommend as I brought it for my daughter (6yrs), as she’s quite a shy and quiet individual. It really connected with her, as she has a passion for arts & crafts too.
It’s at a level that it’s easy for her to understand and encourages her how she can make new friends.
Making friends is not always easy. It takes time, trust, and finding common ground. I love that this book showcases both the joy and struggles in making and keeping friends. This would be a great book to add to your SEL book collection or books about friendship.
