Beware! This is a book written for the American market. It uses US weights and measures and ingredients that people in the UK have never heard of and probably won't know what to use instead. The paper it's written on is very cheap and the whole book is badly organised. I haven't actually tried any of the recipes yet though. There are NO pictures but you can access photos on the internet. Disappointed and now will have to look for another book on salads.
Arrived Safely on Time !but it's Black and White 😔!I was also Hoping for Step by step Recipes with Pictures. But seen nothing like that 🙁.Hope (at least )recipes will give me the Good result what i want most from this Cookbook.
I was looking forward to this recipe book but was disappointed to discover there are no pictures with the recipes - not a single image in the whole book. I discovered the Kindle version has a link to a pdf file with images, but the whole reason I ordered the print version was so I would have the pictures without having to print the 412 pages from the pdf myself. I'm sure there are some good recipes (still need to try them), but I think the cover is misleading with all these colorful images of salads, and then no images actually included with the recipes. Everyone knows you "eat with your eyes" and it is nice to see what a recipe is supposed to look like.
I have to admit that salad is not at the top of my list of dishes I want served to me for a meal. My better half feels differently, however, and life is all about compromise. What I didn't know, and do now after experiencing many of these recipes, is that there are some awesome salad recipes out there that are knock-your-socks-off delicious. This salad recipe book has given me a new appreciation for salads and we have been making many of these for lunch and dinner daily. They are simple to make, filling and so delicious. Love the pdf with photos at the end as well. Great book.
A waste of money. Most of these recipes I have seen before, nothing new and the publisher should have proof read them better. Example: a recipe that serves 12 calls for 4 lettuce LEAVES! Hello, do you mean 4 lettuce heads? Other measurements etc., are OFF! If you want to see photos of the recipes you have to scan ad save them as a web archive. You can't save the pdf to your desktop. A total waste of money!
I am on a diet and was hoping to get some new, low sugar salad ideas but this book has a ton of fruity, sugary salads. More so than anything I could use for my diet. Not enough "meal" protein either. I was very disappointed.
