The Singing Trees describes Love in all it's forms. The concept of People loving People has been explained with utmost beauty and is something we carry away from the book.
Anna, the protagonist of our story is a strong headed artist determined to make her way in the world. Thomas, makes his way into Anna's heart and their lives change forever. Their journey starting from around 1969, with a glimpse of the effects of war, is worth reading and has it's fair share of ups and downs.
I would recommend The Singing Trees to readers who are drawn toward romance stories and would like to see it from the eyes of a girl trying to fight for her dreams and make way for love.
This is my first book by the author, Boo Walker, and I enjoyed reading it. Will definitely be picking up another one soon.
I do not remember what prompted me to download The Singing Trees on my Kindle but I am so glad that I did. I am an avid reader but it has been some time since a novel really captivated me and pulled me in under its spell. The last book that gave me this much joy was Where the Crawdads Sing. I love the way Boo Walker describes Annalisa's creative journey as a writer I really identified with her highs and lows and the concept of finding her voice. It is a love story with incredible tension and suspense. I will be studying how Boo achieved this. Now I am looking forward to reading Boo's other books. I absolutely loved this story! Thank you Boo.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. My one criticism is a bit too much “filling in”, which I tended to glance through! No need to fill in with thoughts etc. Some are good, but the story was quite good enough without!!
I am an avid reader, I probably devour 3 or 4 books a week. I love words and the power they hold, and I love discovering an author who makes me fall in love with words all over again! That’s what happened with this book. Words were crafted into an art in this book that took my breath with it’s beautiful story. The characters became dear to me and so relatable, lovable, frustrating and funny at different times. The story unfolded with a magical quality that provided me with an experience so moving and emotional at times. I truly laughed out loud, and at other times my vision blurred while tears streamed down my cheeks. I read daily and in such a volume that it’s a delightful surprise to have a book grab me like this one did. I already miss the characters just minutes after finishing the last page. Thank you for this touching and very special story. My heart itself was smiling as my eyes devoured the words! I eagerly look forward to more from this talented author who has me excited to look at the world and witness people loving people💗
I just finished this book and I absolutely loved it! All the characters in the book are portrayed so well - it is as if you know them personally. This book is mostly about love, not just romantic love, but love for life, for other human beings, for your passions and especially for your family. It is also about loss and getting up after you are way down and never giving up because in the end there might always be a surprise coming and it is never as bad as it seems in your darkest hours. You may also want to check out Boo Walkers 'Red Mountain' trilogy - that one was great as well! I can't wait for his next book...
