The story was funny but not as entertaining as some other kids books we've read, like "Stuck", "Press Here" and "I want my hat back". I would recommend any if those books ahead of this one. If your child loves dragons & tacos though, they'll like this book
The best part about it book is that my child now says “tacos”. The contents of the book itself was just ok. It’s not incredibly funny, interesting, or visually excellent. It’s just another book for the shelf. Kinda boring for my 2 year old (and maybe even me. I have to read books 5X a day for a year after we get them so maybe I have high expectations...lol) But if you’re super into dragons, (artistic- non traditional looking dragons) then get it and don’t give it another thought.
Got this book as a guest sign in for a fiesta theme baby shower. It was ripped on the back. Unfortunately I had it sent to the house where we were going to do the party and i didn’t open it until after the return date. Also, the book is kind of odd after reading it... overall, mostly upset about the ripped cover.
My 5 yo liked it. I just thought it was pretty boring. So they shouldn't eat the salsa...I get it. Meh. 4 stars only bc the kiddo liked it and i suppose that's the point. Id personally only give it 2 for the illustrations.
I got it because my girlfriends 4 year old has a stuffed dragon that we named Taco so thought it would be cute. Not a huge fan of the amount of times the word "hate" is used in a childrens book but you can easily just say "really don't like". Saw some other comments saying it has no story line, they are too judgmental, I mean its a kids book what do you really expect? The kid likes it so thats all that matters.
