To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The book really doesn’t have much of a story line. I love that it has so many flip ups on the construction site but the images under the flip ups make literally no sense.
You would think with a book like this we could flip up a flap and see “a shovel” and be able to talk about how that helps construction workers or maybe “safety gear”. Instead they have a hair comb, a worm, a piece of cake, a star etc.
I’m really bummed that this wasn’t thought through a little bit more and make the connections with the construction sites.
The pictures were all beautiful, a well made book.. it just doesn’t make any sense.
The pictures under the flaps have no relation to the theme of the book. Also the flaps were super hard to open the first time, I had to go through the book and open every single one of the flaps before going over the book with my 2 year old. My kid loves books especially flappable ones and this book wasn't a hit at all. Went through the first 2 pages and never looked at it again even though we keep suggesting it to them. Only positive is the sturdiness , kind of expected from a board book though.
The book itself is pretty good but the items under the flaps make no sense. This is a construction book and under the flaps there are items such as a bow or ice cream, nothing to do with construction. It was very strange and my grandson lost interest after page one.
