I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I enjoyed a christian mystery and the characters are likeable however the plot is too unrealistic. Piper loses her daughter 15 years ago and by that time there are a series of deaths in her family that the police investigate but never think of drawing a link between them??? Then she is part of a cafe shooting where she sees her friend die...what does the author do? Does the protagonist go on a healing journey? NO! She bounces off by becoming an investigator herself with the help of ... wonder of wonders ... 2 police officers whom she meets a few days prior (one of whom falls on love with her based on the way she looked at the cafe!) I feel the plot was too loaded with events and the story was rushed. It makes you question how and why certain things were not solved before but were left for the heroine to discover.
