Bought to help my daughter with her drawing... its OK for the price... few good tips etc...thought there would be more to copy but it's a good little book really for kids or adults wanting to learn some anime skills.
This book wasn’t exactly cheap or anything and I had to cut the front cover off of the book because it was covered in sticky stuff that would not wash off with soap and a warm cloth - wasn’t happy about that, but my niece was still happy with the book, at least…
I liked how the author gives basics of how most body proportions are drawn but then reminds us that these are basics and we should remember that every body is different. He also teaches about not only different body types (as in young, thin, muscular, heavy) but also different styles of anime (standard vs chibi).
This book is very thorough and has helped me recognize my weak spots in drawing. I’ve always struggled to draw “people” in general and this book pointed out the things I was missing in my attempts. I expect I will be able to make significant improvements and even have fun with my kids drawing the anime figures. I’ve already started the first one and it’s tons better than anything I attempted before!
