To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Duchess of Terra is the second book in the Duchy of Terra series. I like a good space opera and this book and the series so far delivers for me. I enjoyed the story concept and as with all Glynn Stewart’s books there is a good balance between the action and the level of description which keeps you invested in the story. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.
Note: I received a free electronic copy in exchange for an unbiased review (but liked it enough to buy a copy anyway)
It amazes me that authors like Glynn Stewart are able to conjure up amazing books like the DT series. His Mage Of Mars is another series that has me spellbound. I have thoroughly enjoy this series following Annette Bond and hope that there are more books in the pipeline. Good work Glynn.
2nd in the Duches of Terra trilogy,, Captain Bond is now the Duchess of Terra and must now defend the Earth from hostile aliens and subversive humans who think she is a traitor. She builds up a good council to help her rule, and builds up Earth defenc es with a mix of Imperial and human based technologies. Lots of action and intregue, I found this book to be highly enjoyable.
Firstly I have to put this line here : "I received a free electronic copy in exchange for an unbiased review" That said I have to add I purchased the book on day of release as I have with all the authors other books. I found the book to be well paced and while somewhat predictable in parts was still interesting enough that I read it in one sitting. I have high hopes for this series now we're getting further into the development of the universe as he's built it.
Really enjoyed this book couldn't put it down. Was kept on the edge of my seat until the end. Looking forward to reading the next book. Only negative needs better proof reading. Lots of errors through the book. They didn't detract from the story.
