How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

1.0 out of 5 stars Gay SciFi

It was an interesting premise and I like the single-threaded story to keep it simple, but at 15% into the read, I could not go any further. When the Captain is piloting the ship with his gay partner sitting in his lap snuggling and kissing his neck, I could not take it anymore. Think Captain Kirk sitting in the captain's chair of the Enterprise and then Chekov sitting in his lap making tender kisses on Kirk's neck. I put up with it for the several mentions up to this point but this was just too much. It was on the verge of disgusting. This seemed like a different author than his other books. I've read 100s if not 1000s of Scifi and thanks to Kindle Unlimited, I can start a book and return it if I find it not to my liking without feeling I have to continue reading if I had purchased the book. This book was promptly returned and thank you Kindle Unlimited

1.0 out of 5 stars Was this really written by Glynn Stewart?

I have read nearly every book written by Glynn Stewart but I did not finish this one. Maybe this was written early in his career and is just now being published? The story is great but it is so poorly written its impossible to get invested in the characters.

Not my style. Its a good plot ruined by the in your face agenda. Too bad its a tale with potential.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is SJW AND Woke.

It could have been a entertaining story if not for the SJW and woke ideology woven into every chapter.
I gutted out reading to the end in the hopes of being entertained. Not to be.
SJW and Woke is just not entertaining.

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened to my SCIFI!
Reviewed in the United States on 8 February 2022

Having read, and enjoyed many of Glynn Stewart's books, I eagerly jumped into this book, but was very disappointed by the excessive efforts to push the "lifestyle" issues in this book. It was not a dominant theme in Mr. Stewart's previous books. The repetitive reiteration of the same sex couples, two dads, pet names, I love you, etc., was distracting! I do not mind some romance in my scifi, but give it a rest! After you have identified the relationships, don't dwell on the hugs and kisses. Not a bad story just toooooo much pushing of an an apparent agenda!
