Circulated in the year 2014, the book Objective General English is published by Arihant Publications India Ltd. These days the subject-General English is a part of almost every competitive examination. Though this is not a detailed English language syllabus, but this subject helps in understanding the basics of the subject when it comes to preparing for an exam. Also, it helps in improving and advancing your communication skills. With the help of this book, you can prepare for examinations like Bank (PO & Clerk), NDA, CCS, SSC (CGL, MTS, LDC), MBA, Hotel Management, MCA, UPSC and B.Ed. Covering all the essential topics, each chapter of the book offers self-explanatory examples to make it easy-to-understand for the student. Coupled with practice papers, Work Book exercise and revision exercise at the end of the chapter, the book contains answers at the end of the unit. This preparatory self-learning book is divided into 4 main parts: Part A--Foundation Module, Part B--Verbal Ability, Part C and Part D--Practical Grammar. Recommended by me for those who are reading this review.
Multiple errors in the sentence correction part. You can't expect quality content in a book that costs 147 rupees. Very dissatisfied. I wouldn't recommend this book to any serious aspirant.
This book is really very good for the competitive students such that Bank,SSC,UPSC,PSC etc. Every student follow this book and learn basic/standard English Grammar.
Well organised book. But lots of spelling mistakes. We have to be skeptic while reading the book.Need to verify the words with a dictionary. Eg: In one word section-kekistocracy for kakistocracy, refrendum for referendum, spinister for spinster...Never expected...Like Kiran prakashan english
How can a competitive English grammar book carry mistakes when when it is meant for the students who are preparing for their respective exams? I suggest not to buy it. Please refer other books even though if they are expensive. Did not expect this from Arihant.
