Just holding this creation, it feels like I have entered another portal - A mystical land/dimension where nothing and everything is coexisting. The words, the art, it's beyond this realm and it can be FELT. It's like each page, each word, radiating Shakti that just grips you, it holds you, allowing you to absorb it's essence before moving on to another page; like every word is the truth and the art, the divine representation of this truth; like I am here and somewhere at the same time. This mystical kingdom that you've so beautifully created is a rare treasure Abhishek🌌 Immense love and gratitude to you for sharing this Shakti with the world🙏 I cannot tell you how overwhelmed I am feeling just connecting with this book. I have a book 'Holy Vedas' which I would immerse myself in, each time I felt the need to hang out in the outer cosmic realm. Today, Namaha took that place and I am certain that for a while, this is the new mystical abode of my soul. Words surely cannot describe the Force radiating through this creation. This creation of Namaha is what I call 'Sadhana'. To me, this is what existence is - pure, mystical and dripping with love. I intend to embody that essence and I am glad I have Namaha to assist me on this journey💜❤🦋🙏
After quite, quite some time, have I come across a brilliant piece of work on Indian mythology.. characters spun in the cosmic landscape, standing tall and yet not aloof as creation itself.... images with an earthy yet universal presence.. Each image leaves one in awe.. With soft, deep poetry and anecdotes littered across the pages.. reminiscent of Sufi Mysticism
As for the book aesthetics.. think of Absolute Editions of any brilliant graphic novel and you come close to what I am trying to communicate..
Thank you Abhishek Singh for this beautiful book...
A significant care and love has gone into this art. The energy translates through. I have been following Abhishek Singh's work since I started my artistic journey. His works for me shares the same summit as Indian classical artists like Raja Ravi Verma and M. V. Dhurandhar. Over the years reading his stories on social media and his outreach and recently his studying of Elephants to bring their stories to the light is really heart warming. I am happy that there are a few paintings of the majestic beasts in the chapter Ansuya. (one of my favorite stories of the book thus far) I don't know what else to say, but if you like expressive and immersive art, a dive into the cosmos of Indian Gods and Goddesses and an affinity for great story telling, this book is for you.
Its difficult to say whats more ethereal - Abhishek's art or his storytelling.. or the simplicity in his words that makes the most complicated feelings comprehendible. His mastery over these freeflowing artscapes and his enthralling stories that have a fluid myriad of worlds and beings mystical yet relatable, just add more mystery to the myths Abhi is creating in this book. Namah also consists of some of my most favorite unpublished and unreleased rare art of Abhishek Singh. These pieces created over the last ten fifteen years are presented for the first time for his fans. Jumping straight out of his numerous sketchbooks, canvases, digital files - these masterpieces are worth cherishing. The book is as poetic and Sufiana as Abhishek Singh, experience the magic and savour the amazing art of Abhishek Singh.
Wisdom of Sanatana Dharma is masterfully laid out with dreamy, ethereal illustrations. We live in an age where a duct-taped banana is considered as 'art' while true Art and artists are undervalued, but then again, true Art is for true seekers. The size of this book enable us to savour the amazing compositional greatness of the artist. Not giving a 5⭐ for this stellar work would be a crime
I've read and bought a bunch of books but not like this (Namah)even a single one. , I bought this book because I like Artist, illustrator and Author Abhishek singh's art and his style of art so much, but his book "Namah" is liked by even school going children as well as literates from IIT and IIM in my family. If you're bibliophile or an art lover, art student or an artist, Philosopher, writer and so on...you must have this book in your collection. Esthatically also , cover, pages, size of the book etc, he has given so much more than what we pay here, above all the precious energy you have spent here reading the reviews, one must not let it wasted and buy it for you and your loved ones. May God bless to "Abhiart" for spending years and letting this creation born for all of us.
Pre-ordered the book it arrived on time, didn't get time to read it yet but saw the illustrations at glance and I am sold! I have been following Abhishek on Instagram for quite a long time and have been a huge fan of his work. You will not at all regret buying this masterpiece. Don't think twice before getting this. The beautiful colours, bold lines and the composition all are perfectly crafted. It's a beautiful graphic book to have in one's collection.
I've been a fan of Abhishek Singh's artworks for a long time so Hype for this book for me was there already. Bought It on the first day it went on sale. The artworks are really stunning. The stories from Indian mythos are deep and inspiring. I loved and enjoyed this book through and through Cheers.
