Given this is normally £15 for 500ml at my local fish shop and this was £20 for a gallon, it equates to exceptional value for money. Storing it wont happen under the tank as the container is large but if you are getting through a lot of water changes and can use it before its use by date this is an great buy. As far as the product goes, it does what is stated on the container and is a useful addition to any fishkeeper being used with your water changes.
I dont know about the aloe but the fish are healthy and it makes the water safe for the essential nitrifying bacteria in the filter preventing ammonia poisoning so it gets 5 stars. Bounus is it takes very very little to treat the water so itll last a long time.
I have been using API Stress Coat for years and find it works well and the fish seem happy when I have had to use tap water, so it does do what it says as far as conditioning tap water and I think the aloe vera it contains is great for keeping the slime on fish as it should be! I bought an enormous quantity of it in a deal on Amazon so it should last me for ages and ages.
Really great for my fish tank, I try to maintain my fish tank on a weekly basis and can confirm that this product has lasted me a substantial amount of time based on what you have to use it for. I would say it's good value for money.
I always use this product for water conditioning when I am setting up a new planted tank as my belief is that it does not affect the cycling process. Other manufacturers products have caused bacterial crashes in tanks undergoing cycling so to be safe I only use this. Buying a 3.78 litre container rather than the much smaller ones makes the product great value for money
