I have significant problems with my feet due to endometrial sciatica so my feet are not rightly aligned and the pain from the Plantar Fasciitis is excruciating at times. Unfortunately these actually caused more pain - even my mother noticed that I was walking even more at an angle. HOWEVER, I am very overweight and so to be fair, it is a real possibility (even likely) that this was a really big factor in my score. For those who are lighter it may well work better but for those of a heavier disposition I'd give it a miss.
I have suffered with agonising plantar fasciitis for around 2 years and was at the end my tether having tried every heel cup and insole on the market to no effect. I was a little worried at first, paying so much for something that perhaps wasn’t going to help my problem but I could not have been more wrong! I started wearing my insoles in February of this year and after some initial discomfort for the first couple of weeks, they became the comfiest things I have ever worn! I have been wearing them in all of my shoes for the last 4 months and my plantar fasciitis has been been virtually cured. I was very worried about the summer months, not being able to wear the insoles in my light summer shoes and sandals but I have been wearing them without the insoles absolutely pain free and I could not be happier. Thank you Heel That Pain, you have changed my life!
Now I’ve had extreme plantar issues for over 6months and have done almost everything to even reduce the pains to no avail. It made me stop all forms of sporting activity including my beloved Saturday footie. Was depressing. Went to the doctors and was diagnosed plantar and flatfoot that I didn’t know I had. Anyways was told to get insoles and plantar support slippers etc. after buying a few especially the gel ones which are useless for plantar I came across heel that pain and Its been almost miraculous. These blue pads sit and puts pressure on points that feels a bit painful initially and as you wear them it decreases the plantar pain. They also support with emails on stretches and exercises. Really it’s been the best decision I made towards my healing. It’s just a month now and half my pain is gone although still ongoing rehab, I felt the need to give this review to help others. I follow their stretches routine twice daily, ice my feet once daily, and wears compression socks when I’m home and when I go to bed. It’s really worked for me. And get Birkenstock’s type slippers that have raised archs and depressions to further heal.
Following my previous review, I just have one more thing to add - my condition is almost gone, thanks partly to this product but also regular stretching exercises which has reduced the pain further. I put them in my everyday walking shoe, which I spend the most time on. I don't need them on the sports shoes for playing tennis or running anymore and my pain is nearly all gone.
Previous review - Bought this after reading the good reviews. I run about 20K per week and play a lot of tennis as well. My heels are usually sore first thing in the morning. After day 1 wearing this, the pain reduced significantly. I don't usually write reviews unless they are worth telling people about. I am impressed and will be ordering more to fit every shoe I use on a regular basis. The pain is no longer significant - so no hobbling about the bedroom first thing in the morning.
Product arrived on time. I have been suffering a lot of pain in my left heel for nearly 8 months. Tried various insoles and other gadgets with little success. Bought these after reading reviews. After one day’s use it felt as though my foot was on fire. I will not be using these insoles again, a waste of money. The so called patented support bar caused most of the problem. These are just cheap bits of plastic in reality, don’t get caught out
Bought this product to help relieve heel pad damage in my right foot - Constant pain for over 12 months never understood how i damaged my heel -i assume after a sporting event. Not been able to run / jog for 12 months. Only shoe to relieve pain was "crocs" footwear. Not always fashionable!! Tried many other insoles. Purchased 2 pairs, one medium for harder shoes/boots and one firm for already soft air max trainers. After 2 weeks less pain at work after all day on feet. Not running as yet but hopefully i will be able to progress in the coming months. Positive results so far, thanks ;-) B Davies UK
I have plantar fascitis and a heel spur that I've been dealing with on and off for a few years. I have the $400 or thereabouts custom orthotics, I've gotten the cortisone shots, have the tennis ball under my desk, done the frozen water bottles.
Everything worked SOMETIME to some extent, meaning that it made things somewhat better. A few times after months and months the pain would actually go away.
I will honestly say I thought these heel cups were outrageously priced. I would have thought that $10 - $15 would be a far more reasonable price. I"ve bought heel cups and heel shock supports before and these are significantly more money.
nevertheless I bought this.
I can report that I've now had 4 days pain-free. To be perfectly honest while I'd be upset if these stopped working tomorrow, the four days of ZERO pain are something I probably would pay $6 a day for... so I've already gotten my money's worth.
I will nonetheless report back if they stop being effective, which is of course a possibility if my foot gets "used to them" and starts being messed up in a different way.
Of course this doesn't mean these will work for YOU. my podiatrist told me that everything I've tried has worked for some significant percentage of his patients so this definitely looks to be one of those "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" situations.
At any rate... in case it helps anyone make up their mind here are more details about my situation: 1. plantar fasciatis injury. 2. heel spur 3. Worst pain in the am when waking up... and stepping out of bed to the point that I'd sometime have to walk on the tip of my right toes to diminish the pain. Yes I own the nighttime splint... I hate it... and I can't say I've seen that help 4. Pain also during the day, getting up from a desk after sitting, even for as short as maybe 45 minutes. Not as bad as the pain in the am but definitely something that would cause me to take the first 50 steps slower than I otherwise would 5. When warmed up the foot was pretty much fully functional. I do significant amounts of cardio workouts (mostly Zumba) and once my feet have warmed up I can do EVERYTHING the instructor can do at high intensity 6. The only shoes I own that I would truly feel comfortable in (AFTER about a week of hating them - I was told it would be this way) is a pair of bierkenstocks (the hard sole...the soft one is supposedly instantly comfortable but overall less supportive)
Surprisingly after half a day of wearing these things on saturday I noticed that when I woke up on sunday morning I was in FAR LESS pain than I normally would. monday was even better and this morning I'd say I was pain free. I'm talking when getting out of bed in the am, barefoot on tile. With these on in my sneakers I've been 100% walking-pain free (I say walking because I also have some other form of general pain in my heel that comes and goes and that is not pressure-related... meaning it might or might not hurt while I'm walking and it might or might not hurt even if I'm sitting with zero pressure on the foot ... this has NOT changed at all over the past 4 days. We'll see if time heals all heels :P
I had been suffering severely from heel pain in my left foot for some time and whatever I did seemed to make no difference. However, having noticed this product during an Amazon search I purchased a pair and inserted them in the shoes and slippers I wear and, over about two weeks of use, the difference has been remarkable for me. Although the cause of the pain has not disappeared, I am able to walk again without too much trouble and would heartily recommend them for the problems I was having. With their returns policy what do you have to lose? Good buy!!
