To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I think that this book wasn't the best so far because it had a horrible ending. For the first time, the baldilairs made some friends who were also orphans and they were willing to help even if it was risking their lives! unfortunately It was still an unhappy ending which for me made this book not as good as it could have been. Over all I think that this had a great storyline (apart from the ending) and that is why it deserves 3 stars. I think that if you are reading the series then you should keep going like I will do and I hope you enjoy this book more than I did.
The Baudelaire orphans are sent to a boarding school where, once again, Count Olaf manages to hatch an evil plan while witless adults are unable to protect the children. However, in this book we get a glimpse into a bit of Count Olaf's past, Lemony Snicket's past, and are left hanging with several clues that might be able to stop him once and for all.
Until the new information toward the end of the book, I have to say I found this book to be just more of the same stuff as the others, and wasn't terribly entertained.
