Handcream is an important part of my routine, not for beauty, but just to stop painful cracking, this can happen anytime of the year, but is worse in the cold months and very hot days like the current heatwave. I have found my hands getting very dry no matter how hydrated I stay and in particular my knuckles. 'Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Intensive' offers me the chance to keep my hands well moisturised without having to reapply constantly during the day.
My usual intense moisturiser is a Norwegian brand and can feel a little greasy, the 'Elizabeth Arden' is certainly a more traditional silky moisturiser that absorbs much easier. Rather than targeting a problem area, this moisturiser is best putting all over your hands. The smell is powerful and a little perfumey for me, but others won't mind it. I am not someone who likes to cover all my hands constantly, but the fact that this moisturiser is intensive you only have to do it one or two times a day to get the benefits. Overall, I will probably stick to my normal targeted moisturiser as it has a unisex appeal, but this offering is good for people who apply hand cream regularly and don't mind a strong scent.
4.0 out of 5 starsLovely product but slightly medicinal smell

This is high quality stuff - it's thick and rich but not at all greasy. Easily absorbed and really moisturises. It's really really nice hand cream (hand creme?)
The only downside is the scent - it just smelt medicinal . Which isn't that unpleasant, but isn't amazing either. The smell fades after a while, so it's not going to be a big problem, but nicer smelling hand creams (cremes?) are available.
