I got the ebook version of the manga because I didnt know what to expect and didnt have very high hopes for it. I love manga university and purchase from them regularly but this book was flat out lame. The book consists of manga (inspired) drawings and then a page describing the art. The description is really tedious, like stating to notice the cute red hat and how it brings out the character's eyes. Most of the artwork isn't bad but manga around the world just seems to be different cultural drawings with big eyes. After reading shonen jump for years and studying the techniques of the classic greats it is easy to see characteristics of the native Japanese medium. Most of the artwork strays from what you would see in a manga, and just looking at a bunch of random characters didn't interest me. If you are interested in seeing manga inspired work to see other cultural differences then I recommend it, you probably wont be disappointed for a couple of dollars. I didn't like it because it seemed to me like a glorified "deviantart" gallery.
