This idem is advertised as for cakes and cupcakes, but I made a rectangle cake the same size as the container, and the lid would not fit on it to close. There is an independent to pick the lid up instead of a handle. Also the latch doesn't really latch securely. Someone may need to hold it in transit. So you would have to put a 1 layer cake in there. I have not made cupcakes yet, But I was so mad at the last minute the lid didn't fit on and latch.
Cute but the plastic is kind of thin and it’s hard to place cake pops in there securely because the holes aren’t very deep. Don’t plan on transporting in this! There’s no way. If you don’t want to buy a cake pop carrier, I cut the lid off a couple egg cartons, placed the pops in, wrapped with Saran wrap and cute holes to fit over the sticks.
The product arrived a little grimy even though it was inside a plastic bag. While a good sudsy clean fixed most of that, there were some scuffs in the clear plastic that cannot be fixed and it was disappointing to have that damage before I’d even used it once. It does a good job of keeping your baked goods protected and fresh for longer. It’s a little short for a standard 9x5 loaf if it gets a good rise at all, but smaller loaves or shorter cakes should be fine.
I’m very disappointed I received a sea foam blue color when I ordered red. It’s fine as a cake keeper but I would like it if it matched everything else I have. I really wanted red. So for that reason I gave it three stars. I’m really getting aggravated with not getting what I order.
Also the plastic seems thin and brittle and the seal doesn't seem very airtight. It kind of looks like someone stepped on it in the middle, and it was the opposite shape of what I wanted to store a loaf of homemade banana bread.
The cake pop sticks I had were too big for the holes. The sticks are the generic standard size, or at least that's what I was told. It's a bit of a pain to have to find a specific size to use this stand.
