Its a bit wierd really, I do like Nigella but the recipes in this book are odd, nothing I would want to cook....recipes for a funeral party???? Come on ......I should have bought another of hers, not this one.
Have decided buying a cookery book on the kindle is no use for me. Best part of cookery books is being able to browse through them and it's really difficult to go backwards and forwards to specific recipes. Won't be buying anymore cookery books on it. Recipes looked ok but not going to be using it.
Of course, I bought this book. And there is plenty that is good in it. But I think it's important to at least be able to say that there are some things which are not so good - specifically, the layout is gratingly difficult to follow, there are not enough pictures ... and there's a really noticeable amount of recycling from her other books. (She identifies each repeat - so my issue isn't with Nigella's integrity. It's just that I'd rather have a somewhat smaller book with all new material.)
If you're buying your first Nigella book or looking for one to give as a gift, I would recommend her classic "Baking & The Art Of Comfort Cooking," - not "Feast."
The cover, edges and some pages were dog eared and tatty. I ordered other used books from a different website which gave the same description regarding quality of condition and they were spot on. Therefore this purchase was disappointing and won't use them again. Sorry!!
