To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This book is a great collection of articles put together in away that entertains, educates and inspires. The author peels away the popular schools of thought to analyse and compare. For those who haven't yet read any of the Heath Brother's work this is a great intro into their fun manner of teaching smarter ways of thinking and insight rather than the spoon fed opinion that is produced for mass consumption.
For those who have already read everything by the brothers and cannot wait for the next one.
Non-Obvious: How to Think Different, Curate Ideas & Predict The Future
may be a suitable "cup of meat" for you.
Certainly these few articles left me wanting more. As articles they are written to pack a punch with some satirical / ironic humour as the author describes one observation then another and links them in a way that may encourage you to do something similar. As entertainment each article delivered and I particularly liked the idea of how we sponsor mba graduates instead of under-privileged children despite the lack of a fridge photograph. It certainly makes you pay attention.
...then Chip's brilliant amalgamation of articles is bound to help you find a story where someone has done it already. Wether innovation, investments, marketing, stats v stories, etc... These tiny stories have them all. For free, you're a fool not to download it.
In fact, this book really surprised me, i was thinking it would be a boring book that you read and makes zero difference in my life, but it talks about different and interesting topics, i loved it and i will re read!
