I saw this book being reviewed online and it sounded like fun. Truly, this does not dissapoint. A short story, beautifully printed on a small glossy board book. Parents will have as much fun reading it as kids will have listening to it. It also helps teach children that theres nothing to be afraid of as monsters aren't real and just in their head.
I had this story as a child and thought my two boys (5 and 2) would enjoy it. They do! My 5 year old reads it to his little brother and they both crack up with laughter. The story is simple and classic, and if read with enthusiasm will bring a smile to any little one.
The book itself is a bit flimsy, with a weak cover and thin pages, as you can expect with the 'Little Golden Book' series. This doesn't take away from the story in any way, but may mean it won't be suitable for toddlers to handle on their own.
I don’t understand all the positive comments here. Is it because of the brand? Character? The book is very dull, and so short (or maybe it’s a good thing as both myself and the kids were bored after a couple of pages). The quality of the product is so bad that it hurts: it looks like somebody cut the paper with scissors and the paper quality is so bad that it takes me quite an effort to turn pages! Overall, I’m really disappointed with this product.
