5.0 out of 5 starsA Great Book! Ten Star Rating*********
Reviewed in India on 8 September 2014
Can one give TEN STARS to a book? If one can, I would
give that rating to The Incredible Book Eating Boy.
Initially, my son did not take a liking to the book when I showed it
to him. I was disappointed because my son enjoys Oliver Jeffers'
Stuck and Lost and Found.
Then, instead of reading the book with him, I alone read the book well,
and that night I told him the story when he slept next to me.
He liked the story. Next night, before going to sleep, I repeated the story.
Then I told him that we had the story book as well.
The next day I sat with him and showed him the book. My son enjoyed
the story and the illustrations! He kept asking when Henry would puke
and when the doctor will come over.
At the end of the story, he was intrigued by the bitten last page and the
cover page and asked me how Henry managed to bite off 'our book'.
'But this is our book!' He kept repeating!
I had a hearty laugh that made him angry.
Mr Jeffers, this is a great book!
