I only took the half star off because I found Maryah a little annoying at times (although at other times she made me laugh out loud so it sort of balanced out a little bit) and the action scenes could have been made a bit more suspenseful. But I'm really nitpicking at this point. The author really set the bar high for the rest of the series !! Well done Karen!!
This is the first book I have read by Karen Amanda Hooper and it won't be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Grasping at Eternity'. At first I thought it was not really my type of book, but I was searching for something different to read. This turned out to be just what I was looking for. Karen writes with such maturity and displays an incredible insight into the intricacies of this genre. I was both amazed and delighted by some of her ideas, this got me thinking and doing a bit of research around the subject. Without waxing too lyrical, I would just like to say that I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.
I'm beginning to suspect the Author Karen Amanda Hooper has special powers as she writes with such passion & conviction, the characters are so lifelike & easy to identify with that you shout out ( scaring my wife) at the realism & escapades that identifying so closely with the characters makes you do. Beyond Superbly written & a must buy.
I came across this book as a commendation from another book , I'm so glad I did. I wasn't anamoured by the cover but now I've read it ,it makes sense . The characters were believable. I was after something different and enjoyed the past lives element. Good read defo recommend
I love fiction, know a lot about our souls and love reading things that relate to my beliefs. The love and romance along with friendship make this book well worth reading. There is a good blending of character, contrast and conflict all needed to roll the story together so the reader wants more.
