I have already cooked several of his delicious recipe from tv channel....tlc & now for the 1st time I bought his book i'm thrilled & soon i'll be cooking in my kitchen with his book besides me. I'm excited..😆
This is my first ever cooking book I have bought, I have never cooked before in my life... I have cooked almost everyday since.. The food is well described, and each of the steps is well explained.
There is a wide range of dishes available in this book, and each of them are equally mouth watering. The book also teaches you some basic knife skills, as well as teaches you about some spices that you might use in the future. Overall satisfied with the book, and will definetly use it a lot!
As someone who wasn’t particularly a fan of Gordon Ramsay’s TV persona I started watching the tv programme relating to this book and reluctantly had to admit that not only does this guy know how to cook but he also knows how to package information in practical, useful ‘portions’ and impart it in ways that make it understandable and usable. I’m a keen home cook with too many cook books but this one is among the very few that I actually use!!! It’s abundantly clear instructions and recipes are easy to follow and work! Also the list of ingredients is very realistic and normal - and doesn’t include ‘Extract of Amazonian bat droppings’ ... as in ingredients that nobody has!!! The book also includes eminently useful and sensible advice on basic techniques and kitchen equipment. If you only buy one cookbook, buy this one!
This made a really good gift for a friend. Ive also borrowed it from her a couple of times and found the recipes easy to follow. Theres food for all types of cuisine and to suit a variety of tastes. Gordon knows his stuff! An essential for any kitchen.
I've watched the series this book was based on and am so glad to add this to my library of cook books. I don't buy cookery books unless they have something new to show me. Although I'm glad to see his take on fish pie is the same as mine, why bother cooking fish in milk which spoils it & renders the inedible? I swear so many TV chefs haven't got a clue.

Didn't used to like Gorgon Ramsey because of the foul language he used but lately he's calmed down and I have warmed to him a bit. After watching his ultimate cookery course on TV I decided to purchase his book. So glad I did its a very good book easy to follow and some great recipes in it. Me at 67 years old have become tired of Sunday Roast, pies etc. I consider myself a good cook so it goes to show we can all learn alternative recipes to cook. Would highly recommend.
GR used to be known for being a gobby twit, but I happen to like him and where he came from to get where he is today. His achievement only came from many long hours working in kitchens and pure hard work learning his trade and reaping the rewards for his accomplishments. Personally I don't want a library full of cookery books I want one or 2 really good ones that fits in with my life style easily. The Ultimate Cookery Course does what it says on the cover, it has easy amazing recipes that don't break the bank for the ingredients but it also gives you some great tips on the way from the best culinary utensils to cheats but without the B.S. G.R is like marmite you either loath him or love, but don't judge a book by the cover as I've had the pleasure of reading his 2 autobiographies which created a lasting impression on me. He is man who is the dogs bo*****s at his trade but also a great husband and father, you must be a very proud man!!!
Boredom during lockdown led me to try cooking. Having seen a couple of episodes of Gordon Ramsey Ultimate Cookery Course I was inspired to buy the book. Not disappointed. Recipes are easy to cook, instructions clear, results tasty. There are a lot of helpful tips about basic cooking. I am so impressed with the results of my efforts (as is my husband). I would definitely recommend this book.
