I really love this book - for people who know nothing about spices, how to choose them, use them and with which type of food to mix them, this is what you need. The style is very simple, contrarily to some books where it is so dense that you end up never ready it. There is a really nice historical section at the beginning which is very interesting. I strongly recommend it, for oneself or as a gift.
Learning about spices, their history, and what to use them in--its a great quick reference book for these things. I love how they incorporated myths and meaning behind some of the spices and herbs and also some recipe ideas at the back.
I love to be creative with my cooking and this book allows me to make Great choices! I can purchase spices and herbs confidently and not just "experiment" with them, but make educated choices for how I want my food to turn out!
