To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Took a chance on this even though the reviews were poor but bought it because it was so cheap. The reviews were right, this book is not worth buying. Some very strange recipes in it. Very amateurish in its wording as well.
Do NOT waste your money on this piece of crap. The book is a sloppy, badly assembled, poorly written collection of mediocre recipes (many of them fattening) that this person clearly gathered from an afternoon of googling. Jacket blurb suggests the book will appeal to "housewives". Wish I'd seen that before I wasted my money on it. Clearly a self-published misadventure.
Pretzel salad, are you kidding me? I could pick 5 items from my store cupboard with my eyes closed and make a more inspirational (and healthy) salad. Doesn't offer any worthwhile ideas I wouldn't think of myself.
I was excited about this but then noticed that it left information out. On the first recipe it says to preheat the oven to cook some chopped scallions. But it doesn't say what temperature to preheat it to. It tells you take the scallions out when there ready but there is not time given for cooking them, or method offered for knowing when they're ready. It's little things like this that make it unusable for someone like me and why I can only give it 1 star.
This was an amazingly awful book. One of the first few recipes instructed the reader to preheat the oven, but didn't give a temperature, and to put some items in the oven "until finished" with no indication of how long they should go in, or what would indicate a state of "finished"ness. Other recipes listed ingredients with no measurements, and multiple recipes were written such that every sentence in the instructions began with the word "Now." I feel slightly bad for the author because coming up with 365 salad recipes can't have been an easy feat, but if she attempts another recipe book she really needs to find herself a better editor.
